Milton E. Babirak is a shareholder of the firm focusing on trade secret law, business, corporate and commercial law matters, international transactions and estate and estate tax planning. Mr. Babirak is A-V rated by Martindale-Hubbell and is listed in Martindale-Hubbell's Bar Register of Preeminent Lawyers for corporate law. Mr. Babirak has extensive experience litigating trade secrets cases, non-competition and non-disclosure of proprietary information agreements and employee raiding cases. For over three decades, Mr. Babirak has served a wide range of businesses including foreign businesses seeking to do business in the United States and high tech and Internet businesses, in numerous matters, including the preparation of commercial agreements, non-competition agreements, protection of trade secrets, the purchase and sale of businesses, the sale or purchase of substantial corporate assets, the negotiation and preparation of shareholders' agreements and buy-sell agreements, directors' and officers' liabilities, wrongful discharge, sexual harassment, racial discrimination and employee relations. He also provides advice on international transactions, including the formation of U.S. subsidiaries for foreign businesses, acquisition of assets of U.S. companies, acquisition of stock of U.S. companies, purchase and sale of goods and services, U.S. customs, exports, shipping and financing. He advises estate planning clients with regard to the preparation and revision of wills, trusts, revocable trusts, irrevocable trusts, family limited liability companies, durable powers of attorney, advanced medical directives, irrevocable life insurance trusts, charitable remainder trusts, qualified personal residence trusts, GRIT, GRATS, GRUTS, etc

Mr. Babirak has spoken and written widely and frequently on business, corporate and commercial matters, trade secrets and planning. Further, he is a member of various federal, state and county bar association sections and committees in these subject matter areas. Mr. Babirak has been on the board of directors of a leading lending institution, several corporations, and civic, religious and charitable organizations. He holds an L.L.M. (International Law) from Georgetown University Law Center (1979). He received his J.D. in 1973 from John Marshall Law School where he was editor of law review. He is licensed to practice in the Commonwealth of Virginia, States of Maryland and Illinois (Inactive), and the District of Columbia.
